A "crazy" act from a neighbour has left a resident outraged after they tried to get their post back. Though they live in a lovely neighbourhood, a neighbour "across the street" has been causing problems for some time, and the anonymous resident has since shared the difficulties they are now having to deal with.
An accidental delivery to the wrong address escalated rapidly between the "neighbour from hell" and resident. The person trying to get their post back has since shared the wild details of what happened when she mistakenly mixed up the addresses. Even the Homeowners Association President's intervention did nothing to alleviate the situation.
Sharing their horror neighbourhood experience on the r/NeighboursfromHell Reddit page, the anonymous resident says not even the police could stop her wild neighbour.

They wrote: "We moved into our house a couple [of] years ago and we love our neighborhood. We’ve made some really good friends here and it’s a nice place to live.
"Our neighbour across the street hates us. I don’t know when it started. When we moved in, my husband backed up the moving truck a little too close to her mailbox, I guess.
"She sent a message to the previous residents that the new guy living across the street is ‘an idiot’ - which we know because the previous resident sent that to a different neighbour, whom we befriended.
"About a year or two ago, my credit card expired and they sent me a new one. Apparently, I put her address instead of mine. There’s one number different." While the "neighbour from hell" may have seen the name on the letter was different, their response was "crazy".
The resident confirmed: "Instead of seeing my name on the card and bringing it to me, she called 911 and told them I was trying to steal her identity.
"The cop knocks on my door and explains, says he told her that’s not how it works but she’s a ‘bored old woman with nothing better to do’ and she won’t give my card back. I send him back over there to get it - and instead, she shreds it in front of him."
Members of the public were left stunned by the encounter and at a loss of what to suggest. The original poster also shared further horror stories relating to the mailbox.
They wrote: "She called the cops because our neighbours were having a birthday party for their toddler and someone parked near her mailbox. She’s a loon, and was probably mad to be the only house on the street not invited."
The only resolution offered was to file a complaint with the mail service system, which the individual has considered. A person wrote: "You should file a complaint with the USPS for mail tampering (assuming you are in the US). Not sure how it works since it was not your exact address, but you can inquire."
But the resident replied: "I considered it and someone even sent me the link to it but honestly, I think this lady is miserable. Her kids don’t talk to her, all her neighbours hate her, her husband is literally always outside doing imaginary yard work. Her life sucks so I chose to just feel bad for her."
Another commented: "Wow. Every time I think MY neighbours suck, I read something like this. I commend you on your patience and tolerance. Rock on."
